X-Files 2 Wonder Con Trailer

There it is, the very first look at what could quite possibly be the defining film of 2008. I for one cannot wait, due to the fact that I am a massive X-Files fanboy and have been waiting a decade for this. I can still recall watching the very first episode of the X-Files in our sitting room with my Dad at the tender age of 8.

I was hooked from the word go, what normal 8 year old wouldn't be? It had monsters, gore, violence and some of the most awesome story lines of any show in the history of the medium. I can recall other kids in school discussing the soccer while all I wanted to do was talk about the previous nights episode of the X-Files. It may have gotten me beaten up on a regular basis but the X-Files shaped a major part of my life and continues to influence my work to this day. Watching the trailer brings it all back, that sense of excitement and fear and a tint of trepidation.

2008 is looking to be a great year for cinema. So far we've seen Stallone continue his comeback with the brilliant Rambo and with The Dark Night, Iron Man and Bond 22 yet to come The X-Files 2 is the icing on the cake. Now, if only Fox would release the proper trailer so we can all see it in HD.
