Teaser Trailer for Quarantine

Quarantine is a remake of the Spanish horror film [REC] from last year, starring Jennifer Carpenter as a news reporter, trapped inside a quarantined building, where an unknown virus is transforming those infected into flesh eating zombies. It's directed by John Erick Dowdle who previously made a name for himself in underground circles for The Poughkeepsie Tapes.

Yep, another day, another remake it seems. What's really disturbing here is just how quickly this remake has been pumped out, as the original film is only a year old. There's seemingly no planned DVD release for [REC] this in the states, but a UK/Ireland DVD should be coming out in August. With Quarantined getting an October 08 release, it seems that US audiences aren't going to get to see the original film before the remake is out, which is a shame.
